Debbie’s emotive and vibrant landscapes are painted in oil and canvas.
She is originally from Richmond, Surrey, where as head of art at Sunflower Montessori for 17 years, she also ran a children’s art club from her studio.
She was greatly inspired by the beauty of Richmond Park, Kew Gardens and the Thames, and successfully sold many works in local galleries and solo exhibitions. She undertook several commissioned paintings of large houses, and a series of copies of Stanley Spencer’s work for a collector.
At the same time her visits to North Cornwall became more frequent, and an increasing love of the area led to the family moving to St. Teath in 2007. She is amazed and inspired by the constantly changing colours and extraordinary light and movement of the sea and sky, and is so thankful for the privilege of living surrounded by such beauty, which is reflected in her paintings.
